Coached to Blindness

The document describes a series of social service, medical, and financial interventions from 2005 to 2009 regarding Sonya’s son Tj (he has given me permission to share this)

It outlines a pattern where Sonya reported severe visual deterioration, extreme light sensitivity, and safety concerns, which directly triggered specialized funding, benefits, and external support programs. If these symptoms were systematically fabricated or exaggerated through parental coaching, the situation aligns with patterns of Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another (historically referred to as Munchausen syndrome by proxy) or coerced malingering for financial/material gain. In such dynamics, a caregiver manipulates a child into feigning medical deficits to secure domestic benefits, charity funding, or specialized community services. This coercive behavior can deeply isolate a child, instill false beliefs about their own physical capabilities, and distort their development by forcing them to navigate the world through a manufactured lens of disability.

Note: Tj has been a heavy vehicle driver for 5 years (class 5 and Multi Combination) although he had Lasek eye surgery, that only brought him up to his maximum corrected vision (same as wearing glasses pre surgery) quite the juxtaposition to what was portrayed and documented below
